Transmedia Storytelling | The Lord of the Rings

Transmedia storytelling is a fascinating topic, one that I thoroughly enjoyed this week.  I found a correlation between transmedia and J.R.R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, so for this instalment I have attempted a Prezi based on my understanding of the topic.

Give it a watch and let me know what you think, cheers.

1 Response to Transmedia Storytelling | The Lord of the Rings

  1. A very informative Prezi presentation. I remember as a child riding in the car on long trips listening to The Hobbit on cassette tape which was how I eventually became interested in the Lord of the rings series since it is the prequel to the novels. There have been games for the books well before the movies even came out, even a cartoon TV series was created for the Hobbit (not sure if the lord of the rings was done, might be worth looking into) http://youtu.be/NSH5uODzW3Y this guy discusses a few of the more popular games but does mention that there are at least 15 games for the lord of the rings and hobbit series! So many different ways these books have grabbed the attention of different audiences.
